I am so excited to share this beautiful June wedding day with you. The open air chapel at The Pavilion Event Space wedding venue in Kansas City, Missouri was the perfect location for Kory and Stephanie’s ceremony. I was so excited to get to shoot in this location. I am sure you will be able to see why when you see how beautiful their wedding photos turned out!
Summer weddings can be hot, and Kory and Stephanie’s day was no exception. Everyone was so incredible and in good spirits about taking outdoor portraits in the heat and humidity. We headed downtown Kansas City to Liberty Memorial for bridal party portraits. There were multiple wedding parties there trying to squeeze into any shady spots they could find on this hot June day. The sun flipped back and forth between being super bright and hiding behind clouds for brief moments of relief. We patiently waited for it to hide behind a cloud so I could click away and capture these gorgeous wedding party portraits with the Kansas City skyline in the background.
The Gorgeous Details and a Sweet Ending
No detail was left undone. I was amazed at how thought out all of the details of their day were. Take a peek at their gorgeous invitations where even the envelope liner included a beautiful sketch of the open air chapel where the two tied the knot. From the beginning of the day to the end there were so many details that were significant to Kory and Stephanie’s love story.
The two even served up Andy’s Ice Cream at their reception. Andy’s was where they went on their first date. Click here to see their engagement session where we shot some pictures at Andy’s. All of the personal touches were so well planned out. I definitely grabbed some ice cream to go on my way home. It was the perfect end to such a sweet day!
